A Defibrillator that we purchased and was unveiled by local MP Giles Watling has mysteriously gone missing. It was located at Tom Peppers, near the Pier, where lives were lost last year. The emergency equipment, funded by donations collected from the local community cost £1,500, was found to be missing after a recent service check.
Clacton on Sea Lions are proud that the Lions Clubs International Foundation has donated in excess of £160,000 towards PPE and other protective gear to benefit all 21 of the UK’s Air Ambulances. Last week we spent two days collecting in Morrison’s Store at Waterglade Retail Park in Clacton on Sea and raised a magnificent £800. Well Done Team.
September and October were very busy months for our Club. We provided three Pig Race Nights for local charities, including the Chairman of Tendring District Council’s Charity Fund. These Pig Races raised over £3000 for these charities. We have also held a Quiz Night for the Clacton Lifeboats; a Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support
