Following the receipt of a grant from Lions Multiple District Foundation for the UK, our Club topped up the grant and made four £300 donations last week, one to each of the Foodbanks covering Clacton, Harwich, Walton and Brightlingsea, incorporating three of the most deprived areas in the UK. We have supported the local foodbanks
Our Club has answered a recent request from Tendring Eldercare for help with funds for the aid they are giving to local people during the coronavirus crisis. A cheque for £250 was sent to them at the end of last week.
We are sorry to announce that not only will we not be running the West Cliff Pig Race on Friday 21st but our next two Draws ( the Easter Egg Hamper and Shopping Voucher Draws) and the next two Quiz Nights have all been cancelled due to the coronavirus. The Quiz for the Frinton Literary
On Friday 6th and Saturday 7th March, members of our Club will be collecting on behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care at Morrison’s Superstore, Centenary Way, Little Clacton. We had a very successful collection last year and hope to do well again this year to support this excellent charity.
